**Rekindled**

I've started listening to The Corrs again, "to all the songs we used to know."

When I first started listening to them, I thought nothing of the lyrics, arrangement, etc.

But now, after my eyes have been opened to songwriting and lyric writing, I've realized that they are... phenomenal.

Their expressive lyrics are intoxicating. The chord progressions they creatively incorporate into the music arrangements are unimaginable. The result: Songs that a listener, like me, could easily get pulled into and entangled in, drowning in their "secret oceans of coral blue and red," forever "so young." It would take years of practice and extraordinary talent to get to that level and to match that depth and intensity of music writing, let alone scratch the surface.

A liberation of creativity.

The only safe place for me, then, would be "only when I sleep."

*Sigh* I love The Corrs...
