The Ambitious Toe, Part UnOne day, the littlest toe on a foot belonging to a twentysomething decided to discover the world. Item number one on its "Discover the World" list was to see if its strength was greater than that of a leg of a chair. It wanted to prove that it was just as big and strong as the other toes, especially the biggest toe.
While taking a ride in a sleek, black slipper, it saw, up ahead, a leg of a chair, crafted from soft wood in the warmest shade of brown, glistening brightly in the artificial light of fluorescent tubes.
That looks perfect, it thought excitedly.
Let me at it!Tense seconds passed. It was coming closer. As the slipper zipped pass the said leg, the toe gathered all its strength and lunged at it like a fierce lion.
Raaaaaaaaaaawr!To be continued...
