Cambodia.
I miss it dearly. The dusty roads, the soaring temperature, the funky-tasting water, and the bumpy tuk-tuk rides, just to name a few of the things I experienced over there.
I met three volunteers from the US there: Jeremiah, Michelle, and Lindsay. They've been to MC before. I hope they will pay us a visit again, because I really want to meet them again. Cool people.
But most of all, I miss the students of CAS, the Adventist school there. Regrettably, I only got to know them on the very last night of my stay there. Wild kids, really. We played some games together, and I, with a couple of the Chamber Choir members, taught them the "Tokay" Dance and a little of Line Dancing. So much fun! They are very sweet too. Some woke up very early just to prepare breakfast for us the morning we left. It was very touching. Their kindness and thoughtfulness have left a lasting impression in my heart.
Although I was there for four days, I grew quite attached to the place and its people. Amidst the poverty, the people there shine like diamonds.
